Lead Researcher (PI): Aaron Beattie
Institution: University of Saskatchewan
Total WGRF Funding: $38,841
Co-Funders: None
Start Date: 2011
Project Length: 1 Year
Objectives:

To develop high throughput SNP-based molecular markers linked to known low protein genes, to use the developed markers in a marker-assisted selection program to screen CDC barley breeding germplasm, and to confirm if selected lines contain lower protein levels.
