Lead Researcher (PI): Stephen Strelkov
Institution: University of Alberta
Total WGRF Funding: $155,250
Co-Funders: Alberta Canola Producers Commission, Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission
Start Date: 2021
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

Evaluate the infectivity of the most important Plasmodiophora brassicae pathotypes on a suite of canola with 2nd generation resistance. Determine the pathotype composition on 2nd generation clubroot resistant canola recovered from commercial fields. Assess the cross-infectivity of these pathotypes across 2nd generation clubroot resistant canola cultivars.
