Objectives:

To develop a workable pollination control system for use in hybrid canola seed production based on a cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) system. To develop hybrid canola seed production methodologies to produce hybrid canola seed in the field using pol CMS system components. To determine appropriate production practices for hybrid canola cultivars grown in western Canada. To develop, evaluate and register hybrid canola cultivars for use in western Canada.
