Start Date: 2023
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

Screen 200 spring wheat varieties for drought tolerance (DT) and water use efficiency (WUE) traits. Phenotype wheat varieties for DT and WUE using proximal and UAV-based sensor systems. Determine the extent of genetic variation among the varieties for DT and WUE as an indicator of yield. Catalogue plant attributes associated with improved DT and WUE.
