Objectives:

To develop Canadian Western Red Spring wheat varieties targeting the Parkland region. The program will target an improved agronomic package, reduced height, stronger straw strength, early maturity and increased yield. Maintaining or improving disease resistance and wheat midge resistance will also be a priority.
