Start Date:
2024
Project Length:
3 Years
Objectives:
Pyramid wheat midge resistance traits (Sm1, oviposition deterrence (OD), enhanced antibiosis (EA)) in spring wheat. Explore resistance traits (Sm1, OD, EA) and their links to surface and volatile chemicals to understand their mode of action. Examine the effect of methyl salicylate on wheat midge behaviour and host-pest interaction.
