WGRF participates in established science based, competitive funding processes to co-fund proposals consistent with our Research Priorities. WGRF does not accept research proposals directly.
Researchers interested in accessing WGRF funding can submit proposals to any of the following:
- Manitoba Sustainable CAP
- Agriculture Development Fund (ADF) in Saskatchewan
- Agriculture Funding Consortium (AFC) in Alberta
- Canola Agronomic Research Program
The WGRF maximum allowable rate for overhead on direct costs of research projects and programs is 15% and that WGRF funding for capacity-building, including human resources and infrastructure, is ineligible for overhead charges.
