Total WGRF Funding:
$158,400
Co-Funders:
Alberta Wheat Commission, Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission
Start Date:
2021
Project Length:
3 Years
Objectives:
Identify genetic markers associated with ergot resistance factors in durum wheat. Introgress ergot resistance genes into adapted durum germplasm. Through comparative transcriptional analysis gain insight into the molecular basis of ergot resistance. Utilize the Canadian Light Source to gain an understanding of the molecular determinants of ergot resistance.
