Lead Researcher (PI): Monika Gorzelak
Institution: Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada
Total WGRF Funding: $106,466
Co-Funders: Alberta Wheat Commission, Manitoba Crop Alliance, Results Driven Agriculture Research, Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission
Start Date: 2023
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

Determine the effects of N inhibitors and N rates on the soil microbiome and soil health in spring wheat systems. Determine how different soil conditions may impact the soil microbiomes response to agricultural practices (N management, fungicides, and previous crops).
