Start Date:

Project Length:
3 Years
Objectives:
1) Conduct a commercial field survey in 2023 and 2024 to determine the spread of the Soybean Cyst Nematode (SCN).
2) Determine the effectiveness of disease management strategies using a commercial field with existing, moderate SCN levels from the 2021 find, including resistant variety genetics and seed treatment nematicides.
3) Conduct a host preference study of SCN from Manitoba to different pulse market classes.
4) Conduct SCN HG (Heterodera glycines) typing (similar to race typing) of populations found in any fields.
