Start Date:
2023
Project Length:
4 Years
Objectives:
Generate elite CWAD and CPSR lines with Rht24 (reduced height gene) and high anther extrusion (AE) sources using marker assisted selection (MAS). Improve and deploy breeder-friendly efficient markers for Rht24 and AE to support MAS. Investigate associations between Rht24 and FHB resistance traits. Localize alternative dwarfing genes from tetraploid FHB resistance sources.
