Start Date:
2019
Project Length:
3 Years
Objectives:
Develop nominal and economic thresholds and control methods to control pea aphids, maximize yield and protect aphid predators. Determine the LC50 and efficacy of 'soft' and novel insecticidal compounds for control of pea aphid in fababean and lentil. Survey SK pulse fields for the presence of aphid vectored potyviruses. Describe the symptoms of PSbMV in fababean and evaluate damage in controlled lab studies.
