Total WGRF Funding: $97,000
Co-Funders: Agriculture Development Fund, Manitoba Crop Alliance, Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission
Start Date: 2023
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

Define the core effector (pathogenicity) genes of F. graminearum (Fg) and L. maculans (Lm). Develop core effector deletion libraries from Fg and Lm. Assess functional diversity of core effectors of Fg and Lm. Identify conserved pathogen effectors as inducers of broad-spectrum resistance.
