Start Date:
2024
Project Length:
3 Years
Objectives:
Modify biosynthetic pathways in yeast to produce flea beetle aggregation pheromones (or their precursors). Determine if flea beetles respond to the yeast produced-pheromone in the laboratory. Determine if flea beetles are attracted to traps with yeast-produced pheromone in the field.
