Lead Researcher (PI): Jacqueline Monaghan
Institution: Queen's University
Total WGRF Funding: $304,175
Co-Funders: Alberta Canola Producers Commission, Manitoba Canola Growers Association, Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission
Start Date: 2022
Project Length: 5 Years
Objectives:

Investigate using unique alleles of calcium-dependent protein kinases (CPKs) as a source of broad-spectrum disease resistance in canola, offering protection against clubroot, sclerotinia stem rot, and potentially other pathogens.
