Lead Researcher (PI): Matthew Bakker
Institution: University of Manitoba
Total WGRF Funding: $28,347
Co-Funders: Government of Manitoba S-CAP, Manitoba Crop Alliance
Start Date: 2024
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

Screen contemporary wild populations of Fusarium graminearum from the Prairies for resistance toward fungicides belonging to the fungicide groups 3,7, and 11. Experimentally determine the likely genetic routes by which resistance toward azole fungicides may arise in Fusarium graminearum.
