Start Date: 2024
Project Length: 4 Years
Objectives:

Characterize F. poae and F. sporotrichioides field populations affecting barley and oat. Determine the sensitivity of Fusarium isolates to Triazole fungicides. Determine the effects of temperature and drought stress upon infection rates and mycotoxin contamination of barley and oats associated with F. poae and F. sporotrichioides. Establish modes of transmission (vertical vs horizontal) of these Fusarium pathogens to advise FHB mitigation strategies.
