Start Date:
1991
Project Length:
3 Years
Objectives:
To optimize very high gravity (VHG) technology for industrial use. To conduct economic and scientific appraisal of nitrogen stimulants and the use of protease enzymes. To scale up VHG process technology. To determine the suitability of other substrates and other front end technologies. To determine procedures for grain removal in double mashing. To assess VHG in continuous cooking/continuous fermentation. To asses use of backset in VHG technology.
