Start Date: 2014
Project Length: 3 Years
Objectives:

To collect and evaluate pea germplasm from the world gene banks to assess biological nitrogen fixation (BNF), biomass, and yield production in symbiosis with different rhizobia strains. The most promising germplasm with be crossed with the best Saskatchewan pea cultivar(s), and evaluated for BNF and productivity.
